Hot rolled ABS F36 hull steel plate equivalent grade in EN standard

Types of steel plates available: carbon structural steel plate, low-alloy high-strength steel plate, steel plate for bridge, steel plate for building structure, steel plate for shipbuilding and offshore platform, steel plate for boiler and pressure vessel, ABS F36 hull steel plate, steel plate for alloy structure, steel plate for oil and gas transmission pipeline, high-strength and high toughness steel plate, corrosion-resistant steel plate, clad steel plate, wear-resistant steel plate and more than 300 domestic and foreign steel grades.

Z-direction steel refers to thick steel with good tensile resistance in thickness direction. In the application of steel plate, the reason for additional performance requirements on the thickness direction of steel is due to the existence of defects in the thickness direction of steel in the process of casting and rolling. This defect makes the steel prone to lamellar tearing during welding, which reduces or even loses the design bearing capacity of application. The Z-direction performance is required for ABS F36 hull steel plate and so on steel plate with the tensile force along the plate thickness direction greater than or equal to 40mm.

In 2019, the output of pig iron in the world was 1.265 billion tons, with China accounting for 64%; the overseas output accounted for 36% (460 million tons), ranking 86.982 million tons of EU 28 countries, 74.907 million tons of Japan, 74.099 million tons of India, 73.264 million tons of CIS, and ABS F36 hull steel plate 47.521 million tons of South Korea.

Grade A ship steel is mainly used for the internal frame of the ship and the outer plate bearing general stress. Grade B, Grade D and Grade E ship steel ABS F36 hull steel plate can be used for important structures in high stress areas such as hull outer plate and main deck. The Grade E ship steel has good low temperature performance, which is suitable for the hull outer plate, deck, etc. According to the minimum yield strength, the high-strength ship steel is divided into four grades: A, D, E and F. The commonly used high strength ship steels are AH32, DH32, EH32, etc.
