Low alloy coils are steel coils made of steel with a low alloy content, usually less than 3.5%. Low alloy coil materials mainly include A572 Gr 50, S355JR, SS490, ST52-3, Q345B, etc.. These grades are also the most widely used and produced low-alloy high-strength steel grades in the world. The strength of low alloy coils is about 20% to 30% higher than that of ordinary carbon structural steel, shipbuilding material grade LR FH32 plate. And the atmospheric corrosion resistance of low alloy coils is 20% to 38% higher than that of ordinary carbon structural steel.
Alloy steel plates that have the ability to develop an extensive range of hardness and strength. Alloying elements and thermal treatments, such as quenching and tempering, greatly influence the hardness and strength of the steel. Welding and forming of this steel plate shipbuilding material grade LR FH32 plate should be avoided. It is best utilized wherever high resistance to fatigue and or impact is necessary. Cold rolled shipbuilding material grade LR FH32 plate steel sheet can be produced by two high mill, four high reversing mill, multi high reversing mill and tandem cold mill. Although there are still only two work rolls in four high and multi high rolling mills, each work roll is supported by one or more large diameter backup rolls, which can prevent deflection of work roll. As a result, wide and thinner shipbuilding material grade LR FH32 plate steel plates can be produced. For example, 20 high mill can produce as thin as 0. 001 mm sheet, but the two high mill can only produce as thin as 0. 35mm sheet
