The main applications of normalizing are as follows:① For low carbon steel, normalized A131 grade E hull steel plate. The hardness of low carbon steel after normalizing is slightly higher than that after annealing, and the toughness is also better, so normalizing can be used as the pretreatment of cutting.② For medium carbon steel, normalizing can be used as the final heat treatment instead of quenching and tempering treatment, or as the preparation treatment before surface quenching by induction heating.③ Normalizing can be used in tool steel, bearing steel, carburizing steel and so on, which can eliminate or inhibit the formation of network carbide, thus obtaining the good microstructure needed for spheroidizing annealing.④ Normalizing can refine the cast structure and improve the machinability of steel castings.
The Peru customer has cooperated with us since April 2015, and then they purchased 300 tons A36 mild steel plates as trial order. Since then, they book more than 1000 tons from us every time, and about two times every year. They asked SGS test every time. Through our cooperation those years, we have built very good relationship and they entrust us to buy other related normalized A131 grade E hull steel plate products for them from China also. Q420C steel belongs to low alloy high strength steel. Q420 is named as the steel with yield strength of 420MPa, C means the impact temperature is 0 ℃, and Q is the abbreviation of yield strength. Chemical composition of Q420C steel: C ≤ 0.20, Si ≤ 0.50, Mn ≤ 1.70, P ≤ 0.035, S ≤ 0.035, Nb ≤ 0.07, V ≤ 0.20, Ti ≤ 0.20, Cr ≤ 0.30, Ni ≤ 0.80, Cu ≤ 0.30, N ≤ 0.015, Mo ≤ 0.20. The mechanical properties of Q420C steel are: yield strength ≥ 340 Mpa, tensile strength 500-680 Mpa, elongation after fracture ≥ 18%, impact energy 34J. normalized A131 grade E hull steel plate, Q420C steel has good mechanical properties and weldability, good cold and hot workability.
