"Grade:S355G6, A131 EH40 ship steel plate Number: 1.8805 Classification: Alloy quality steel Density: 7.85 g/cm³ Heat Treatment: Mother-Mechanical Control Process (TMCP) Standard: EN 10225: 2009 Weldable structural steels for fixed offshore structures."
Oxygen (O) is a harmful element in steel such as A131 EH40 ship steel plate. Although manganese, silicon, iron and aluminum are added to deoxidize the steel at the end of steelmaking, they can not be removed completely. During the solidification of molten steel, the reaction of oxygen and carbon in the solution will produce carbon monoxide, which can cause bubbles. Oxygen mainly exists in the form of FeO, MnO, SiO2, Al2O3 and other inclusions in the steel, which reduces the strength and plasticity of the steel. Especially, it has serious influence on fatigue strength and impact toughness.
We can supply profiled plate in a range of grades in thicknesses up to 400mm and dimensionally we can cut up to 24 meters in length and 5 meters wide with flame cutting, plasma cutting and laser cutting service. This capability is backed by an in-house CAD team, capacity that enables us to work to short lead times and an established delivery network that ensures you receive the steel A131 EH40 ship steel plate products when you need it.
