45# steel is a common medium carbon quenched and tempered structural steel. The cold plasticity of 45# steel is general. Annealing and normalizing are slightly better than ABS grade D hot rolled strips quenching and tempering. 45# steel has higher strength and better machinability. After proper heat treatment, 45# steel can obtain certain toughness, plasticity and wear resistance. 45# steel is suitable for hydrogen welding and argon arc welding, not suitable for gas welding.

Chemical composition of A335 P22 steel pipe: C 0.10-0.20, Mn 0.30-0.80, P ≤ 0.025, S ≤ 0.025, Si 0.10-0.50, Mo 0.44-0.65. Mechanical properties of A335 P22 steel pipe: tensile strength 415mpa, yield strength 205 MPa. ABS grade D hot rolled strips, A335 P22 steel pipe is characterized by good process performance, less sensitivity to the heating temperature of heat treatment, good welding performance, good plasticity, and low strength, especially the high temperature rupture strength is lower than 12Cr1MoV steel. When used at the same temperature and stress, its wall thickness is about 30% thicker than 12Cr1MoV Steel.
